While we still don’t have a specific release date, this confirmation is more than enough to get fans excited for the next chapter in this dark fantasy saga.

The announcement took place during the 10th Anniversary Memorial Fest for Overlap Bunko, an event celebrating the publisher’s ongoing contributions to the world of light novels. During the event, the original author of Skeleton Knight in Another World, Enki Hakari, shared a heartfelt message thanking the fans for their unwavering support.

Celebratory Artwork and Teasers

To mark the occasion, Keg, the light novel illustrator, and Akira Sano, the manga adaptation illustrator, unveiled special illustrations that showcase the beloved characters in a festive light. These visuals have already sparked excitement, as they highlight the characters in their classic, charming styles.

Adding to the excitement, Keg has also been credited as the character designer for the second season. This is fantastic news, as it ensures the high-quality character designs we loved in season 1 will be maintained for the upcoming episodes.

What Is Skeleton Knight in Another World?

For those who are new to the series, Skeleton Knight in Another World is based on a dark fantasy light novel series written by Enki Hakari and illustrated by Keg. The story follows Arc, a player who is mysteriously transported into the world of a video game. However, when he wakes up, he discovers he has been transformed into a skeleton knight, a character he had created in-game. As Arc navigates this new world, he faces various challenges and adventures, all while trying to maintain his humanity in a body that terrifies others.

The first season aired in April 2022, and its 12 episodes were streamed globally on Crunchyroll, introducing fans to the immersive world of Skeleton Knight in Another World. Since then, fans have eagerly awaited updates on season 2, and now, their patience has finally paid off!
